Margaret Mary Larrabee, age 91, formerly of Winneconne, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born December 14, 1923, in Radisson, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Mary (Enderle) Metnik. On May 16, 1961, Marge married Haldor Larrabee in Dubuque, Iowa. They moved to Oshkosh in 1970 and operated the Kickapoo Gas Station for 14 years. She worked as a bartender at the Westward Ho in Oshkosh and then at Tilly's Too in Butte des Morts until retiring at the age of 80. Marge and Haldor lived in Butte des Morts for 18 years until moving to Winneconne in December of 2002. She has been a resident at Bethel Home for the past 3 years. She enjoyed polka music, dancing, watching the squirrels at her bird feeder, and spending time with family and friends.
Marge is survived by her children, Barbara Seidl, Herb Freitag (special friend, Mary), Clayton (Karen) Willi, William (Debra) Larrabee, Linda Aldridge (special friend, August), Pam (Jerry) Wierzba, Laurie (Dave) Tanner; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Nancy) Metnik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Marge was also preceded in death by her husband, Haldor; a son, Michael Larrabee; a son-in-law, Fred Seidl; a sister, Elsie Ellingson; and a brother, George Metnik.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Cathie Van Der Veldon officiating. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
Marge's family extends a thank you to the staff of Bethel Home for the care given to her in her last years.

Dear Laurie and Pam, Your mom will be surely missed.I enjoyed talking to her and watching the squirrel outside of her window.( how chubby he was getting) at Bethel.Alot of the staff will miss her quick sense of humor.You and your Families are in our Thoughts and Prayers...Peace be with You...
