Jeffrey T. Wilson, age 69, of Omro, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at home. He was born November 20, 1947, in Berlin to the late Gordon and Ruth (Moriearty) Wilson. On July 8, 1967, Jeff married Sharon Griswold at St. John's Church in Oshkosh. For 34 years Jeff was employed at the Leach Company before going to work for Math Fabs for 8 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing with his grandkids, and he loved to paint figurines. Jeff also loved to walk 4 to 5 miles a day and everyone knew him around the city of Omro. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. Jeff was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Omro.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Wilson, of Omro; four daughters, Ruth (Dan) Tanner, of Omro; Lisa (Mike) Grusczynski, of Oshkosh; Susan (Mike) Carpenter, of Omro; Linda (Andy) Sowls, of Omro; grandkids, Christopher Tanner, Kate Grusczynski, McKenzie Grusczynski, Ashley Grusczynski, Diesel Carpenter, Kylee Carpenter, Xander Sowls, Cade Sowls; his siblings, Gary (Sharon) Wilson, of Berlin; Richard (Kay) Wilson, of Illinois; Jean (Leo) Hinz, of Sheboygan; Marilyn (Sonny) Osheim, of Ripon; Lola Wilson, of Oshkosh; Peter (Kathy) Wilson, of Oshkosh; Allen (Debra) Wilson, of Oshkosh; Calvin (Connie) Wilson, of Ripon; Kathy (Chuck) Prince, of Winneconne; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents, Jeff was also preceded in death by a sister, Susan Wilson; a brother, Robert Wilson; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Julia Griswold.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Meier officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
Jeff's family wishes to thank the Omro Police Department, the Omro/Rushford First Responders, and Pastor Meier for all of their care and assistance.
