Ardell Annette Peters

Ardell Annette Peters, age 68, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her home on July 4, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family at her side. She was born January 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Edward and Frieda (Kislewski) Gavinski.
She attended St. John's Grade School and was a graduate of Menasha High School class of 1959. After graduating, Ardell was employed as a secretary to the Director of the Menasha Vocational School until her marriage to Robert J. Peters on June 15, 1963. At that time she became a full time homemaker devoted to raising her family. While her family was growing up she served in Cub Scouts, and as a Leader in Campfire Girls. She later was employed in customer service for clothing sales by Olsen's Mill Direct and Scharpfs Identity Apparel. Ardell and Robert resided in Omro for 42 years before moving to their new home on Lake Napowan in Waushara County.
Ardell is survived by her husband Robert; along with sons, Gregory (Susan) Peters, of Omro; Douglas Peters, of Winneconne; daughters, Debora (Gary) Stromberg, of Lexington, Kentucky; and Linda (Todd) Keller, of Madison. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, Steven, Nicole, and Michael Peters, Bryce Peters, Caley, Tierney, and Taylor Stromberg, and Jennifer and Cassandra Keller; sisters, Patricia LeVan and Carol (Michael) Fattor, both of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and best friends from high school, Sally Wiese and Evonne Sprague.
Along with her parents, Ardell was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Daniel LeVan.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass for Ardell will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 228 Church Ave., Redgranite, with Rev. Joseph Mattern and Karen Nesbit officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Redgranite. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, July 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Special thanks for the care and attention given by Dr. Anthony Phillips, Daisy Boehm, and Ardell's "chemo girls", Chris and Becky, and to Sally and staff at Riverside Medical Center. The family also wishes to thank the ThedaCare at Home staff for their compassionate care; and Fr. Joseph Mattern, Karen Nesbit, and Audrey Klamrowski of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Redgranite for their prayers and support, and for all who sent cards and well wishes throughout the year.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
May almighty God, The all-loving God, The all-forgiving God bestow upon you peace and tranquility now and for all eternity. May the gentle hands of His son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit be your guide along the footpath to His Kingdom,
Your Loving Husband
