Jack Walter Pinnow passed away March 1, 2018, at Bella Vista in Oshkosh, where he resided for the past nine months. He now belongs to Jesus. "...with the Lord forever." 1 Thessalonians 4:17
Jack was born on June 3, 1933, to Walter and Eda (Schultz) Pinnow, and spent 84 years in Winneconne, the village that he loved. He was baptized into faith on June 9, 1933, and confirmed April 14, 1946. Jack was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winneconne until 1983, and Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh until his passing.
Jack graduated from Winneconne High School in 1951, and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed at West Drayton near London. Upon his return he attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He met Darlene Schmude in 1956, and knew after that first evening that this was the woman he would marry. Jack and Darlene were married on June 23, 1957, making their home in Winneconne and raising their daughter, Malynda. Jack worked at Kimberly-Clark in Neenah for the next 33 years, retiring in 1990. Jack and Darlene shared a passion for traveling, and spent numerous years touring the world, visiting their favorite city, London, 36 times. He was a founding member of the American Air Museum in Duxford, England. Jack was blessed with nearly 30 years of retirement, taking daily walks in Winneconne, exercising, enjoying the company of his many feline friends, and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Darlene, Oshkosh; daughter and son-in-law, Malynda and Kurt Beuth, Neenah; granddaughters, Sara (Travis) North, Brookfield, WI; and Megan (Ryan) Carlson, St. Paul, MN. He became a great-grandpa with the addition of Connor and Calla North. Jack is also survived by two sisters, Carol (Bob) Beiser, Winneconne; and Arlene Waite, Milwaukee; many loving nieces and nephews and their families, church friends, and Winneconne friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, and a brother, Don Pinnow.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A service of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Don Forss officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Winneconne Cemetery.
Jack's family would like to thank Pastor Don Forss and his wife Anna for their words of comfort, the staff at Bella Vista, the hospice chaplain, social worker Var, and nurse Ryan. Thank you all for your concern and care for Jack these past weeks.

King Jack will always be remembered and missed. The world will always have the songs he wrote such as Blue Moon and I will always remember his quick witted humour and of course his magic garage door. What a wonderful person. Anyone who knew him understands the world lost and heaven gained someone very special. Love you Uncle Jack!!!!
