Michael C. Zinecker, age 79, passed away at home on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born to Raymond and Loraine Zinecker on November 8, 1938. Mike graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. On April 29, 1961, he married the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Lord) Zinecker, at Zion Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, WI.
Mike was employed by Oshkosh Manufacturing Company and Mercury Marine prior to owning and operating The Odd Jobs People, LLC. He was an avid outdoorsman and served as a professional fishing guide for many years before retiring to northern Wisconsin and hunting muskies throughout his retirement. He enjoyed sharing stories with his friends and making people laugh.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Zinecker, of 57 years; son, Mark Zinecker; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bruce Marley; three grandchildren: Garrett Zinecker, Koleton Zinecker, and Grace Klement; a half-brother and his wife; Ray and Marlene Alexander. He is also survived by Mary Ellen's siblings and their families: Fran Leinweber, Gloria and Coy Branscum, Barbara and Ed Anderson, and Dennis and Lynda Lord; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an older brother, David Zinecker; and younger brother, Bill Zinecker.
Please join us for fellowship as we celebrate Mike's life on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 East Main Street, Winneconne, WI. A Service of Comfort will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
