Lawrence "Larry" D. Crowley, age 84, of Omro, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home. He was born October 27, 1933, in Oshkosh to the late James A. and Florence G. (Gibson) Crowley. Larry was a graduate of Omro High School and attended the Oshkosh State College. He dairy farmed in the town of Poygan, where the family farm was awarded the Century Farm designation.
Larry was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Omro. He was also involved with the Fox Skimmers Water Skiing Club, Omro Bowhunters, the Wisconsin Holstein Association, basketball refereeing for rec leagues, and working at Westward Ho Roller Rink as the main ring man. There he taught countless numbers of young people the joys of roller skating. He enjoyed hunting, especially trips with his hunting partner, Pat Seaman, to Alaska, Canada, and out west. His hobbies also included fishing, archery, roller skating, playing baseball, and traveling. One of his favorite hobbies was photography. He loved taking pictures of family and friends; their special occasions, sports, activities, and 4-H projects. His only reward was to see a smile on their faces.
Larry is survived by nephews and nieces, Mike (Nancy) Lee, Tom (Christine) Lee, Mary (Jeff) Bradley, Joan (Jeff) Huntoon, Frances (Rob) Yuronich, James (Kath) Crowley, Kathaleen (David) Stilp, Patrick (Jennifer) Crowley; many great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law, Janice Crowley; other friends and relatives; and his lifelong friend, hunting, and travel companion, Pat Seaman.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis Crowley; a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen Mae and Arnold Lee; and niece, Ruth Ann Kallas.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 16, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave. Omro. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Matthew Rappl and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Poygan.

Larry taught new how to dance on roller skates at Winro. He always was happy to help those that needed help skating. thoughts and prayers for the family. I bet he tried to rollerskate through those gates. RIP Larry.
