John L. Reinert
Larsen, Wisconsin

John L. Reinert, age 70, of Larsen, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. He was born April 7, 1940, in Oshkosh to the late Elmer and Elda (Neumann) Reinert. On January 4, 1958, John married Judy Erickson at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. In 1960 John and Judy took over the Reinert family farm, becoming the fifth generation on the farm that has been in the Reinert family since 1858. John had been a volunteer with the Clayton/Winchester Fire Department and for many years had bowled on the Winchester/Clayton Bowling League. Upon his retirement from farming, John became involved in town and county government, where he was currently serving his second term on the Winnebago County Board and was also serving on the Winchester Town Board. He was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Larsen.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Reinert, of Larsen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and John Wissler, of South Carolina; Cindy and John West, of Menasha; grandchildren, Sarah Schultz, of California; Jacob (Liz) Schultz, of Appleton; Kama (Chet) Caldwell, of Pennsylvania; three great-grandchildren, Kai Schultz, Leah and Alyssa Caldwell; one sister, Liz (Dewey) Koehler; his mother-in-law, Mary Parry; brother-in-law, Linton (Jean) Erickson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and neighbors.
Along with his parents, John was also preceded in death by his son, Bryan Reinert; and an infant brother.
A Funeral Service for John will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, 8630 Cty Rd MM, Larsen, with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter's #2 Cemetery, Town of Winchester. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, November 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, and will continue on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church.
John's family extends special thanks to Pastor Krueger for all of his support these past few weeks, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Theda Clark for all of the care given to him.

Dear Judy, Wendy and Cindy so sorry for your loss. At least he is resting in peace now, so think of that every time you have heartache. It's the only thing that keeps me going after the loss of my Dad.

To Judy and family, my deepest condolences. John will be missed dearly. It was a good thing we had family reunions and got together when we could and had good memories. Please know God is taking care of John and is finally at rest.
