Irene "Beanie" Gertrude Brennand

Irene "Beanie" Gertrude Brennand, age 71, of Winneconne, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the Omro Care Center. She was born November 22, 1939, in Oshkosh, to the late Charles and Marjorie (Crytmus) Wischow. Irene attended Winneconne schools, and on April 13, 1957, she married David Brennand at St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne. Irene had done seasonal work at Miles Kimball Company, was a cook at the Oshkosh Power Boat Club, and retired as a custodian in the Winneconne School District. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne, and had helped as a leader of the Campfire Girls. Beanie enjoyed doing ceramics, bird watching, sewing and needlework, and she adored her grandchildren. She loved to collect ruby-red glass. Beanie loved camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Brennand, of Winneconne; her six children, James (Amy) Brennand, of Omro; Judy Brennand, of Manitowoc; June (Rick) Rubbert, of Neenah; Joseph Brennand (Linda Barzano), of Winneconne; Jacklene (David) Wiese, of Omro; Joyce Brennand, of Winneconne; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, Justin (Alissa) Rubbert, Jake Rubbert, all of Neenah; Aaron (Cassie) Brennand, Amber Brennand, all of Omro; Ashley and Bryce Wiese, of Omro; Nola Reed, of Manitowoc; Tim (Chelsea) Reimer, of Springfield, Oregon; Chad and Cathi Reimer, of Oshkosh; five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, Evan, Lauryn, and Jackson Rubbert; Wyatt Rubbert, Logan Reed, Daniel Reimer, and Lillianna Reimer-Smith; one brother, Gordon "Red" (Jackie) Wischow; and special friends, Sandy Colvin, and Jessie Barzano; and DC.
Along with her parents, Irene was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Rosenthal; her half-brother, Eldor Wischow; and her half-sister, Evelyn Miller.
A Funeral Mass for Irene will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Drive, Winneconne, with Fr. Jason Blahnik and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday December 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
