Lylalu Paffenroth

Lylalu Paffenroth, age 73, of Winneconne, died Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born September 23, 1937, in Oshkosh to the late Lyle and Lucia (Jones) Treleven. Lu was a 1955 graduate of Omro High School. In her earlier years, Lu worked for Wisconsin Bell in Oshkosh, and then she worked for First Wisconsin National Bank in Oshkosh (now US Bank), retiring in 1991. On August 4, 1977, Lu married Robert Paffenroth. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, refinishing furniture, and feeding the birds and other animals by her home. Lu especially loved reminiscing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lu is survived by her husband, Robert Paffenroth, of Winneconne; her children, Roxanne (Joe) Roehrick, of Winneconne; Michael (Lisa) Rhyner, of Omro; Susan (Darren) Putzer, of Oshkosh; and Karen Paffenroth, of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Tara Schwertfeger, Ryan Koss, Andrea Roehrick, Tyler Rhyner, Vanessa Putzer, and Brett Rhyner; one brother, David (Shirley) Treleven, of Omro; and nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Lu was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Roehrick.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor Mara Rivera officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be set up in Lu's name at Winneconne High School.
Lu's family extends special thanks to the Winneconne/Poygan First Responders, City of Oshkosh paramedics, and the staffs of the Aurora Health Center - Winneconne, and Aurora Medical Center - Oshkosh, for all of the care involved in getting her stabilized.
