Florence B. Romberg, age 83, of Winneconne, died Friday, February 11, 2011, at home. She was born March 22, 1927, in the Town of Poygan to the late Joseph and Lena (Schano) O'Connell. Florence was a graduate of Winneconne High School. On October 29, 1949, she married Wayne Romberg in Poygan and they made their home and farmed in the Town of Winneconne. Florence had worked at Prudential Insurance in Appleton and later co-owned with Wayne N.W.S. Replacement Parts. Wayne preceded Florence in death on November 29, 1997. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne, and its Christian Mothers.
Florence is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Margaret Romberg, of Vernon Hills, Illinois, and their daughters, Sarah and Laura Romberg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane Romberg and the late Donald Jelden, of Winneconne; Patti and David Biggar, of Winneconne, and her son, Christopher Handel; one brother-in-law, Russell Mosely; two sisters-in-law, Shirley O'Connell and Mildred Romberg; many nieces and nephews, and her cat Tiffy.
Along with her parents and husband, Florence was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, Lester and John O'Connell, Irene Mosely, Ethel Cosgrove, and Marjorie Lueders.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne, with Fr. Doug LeCaptain and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Patti and family- so sorry to hear of your mom, She was a neat lady,she was a special person in my heart and often thought of her when I did my dishes and putts in the kitchen looking out to the north and see her home.Always remember that special love of your mom.
