Marjorie G. Olson, age 90, of Larsen, was born to eternal life on Friday, March 11, 2011, at Alten Haus Assisted Living in Neenah. She was born January 11, 1921, in Winchester to the late Henry and Laura (Sauby) Olson. On August 27, 1938, Margie married Willard Olson at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester, and they made their home in the Winchester area all of their life. Willard preceded Margie in death on September 24, 2004. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester.
Margie is survived by her children, Barbara (Kenneth) Hahn, of Fremont; Leo Olson, of San Francisco, California; John Olson, of Pickett; Jean (Mark) Tegelman, of Winneconne; Shelley (Kenneth) Podell, of Shiocton; and Robert (Kathy) Olson, of Manitowoc; grandchildren, Keith (Jackie) Hahn, Susan Gilbert, Julie Hahn, Mary (David) Klebenow, Jed (Rachel) Olson, Raymond (Sharon) Olson, Rebecca (James) Muth, Adam (Kristin) Tegelman, Daniel Podell, Michael Podell, Eric Olson, and Sarah Olson; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, and Kimberly Gilbert; William and Noah Klebenow; Lauren, Emma, and Jack Muth, Emmett and Amber Olson, and Carson Tegelman; four sisters, Jinny Winter, of Larsen; Shirley Jacob, of Larsen; Bonny Borchert, of Larsen; and Lois Seelow, of Neenah; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Rueben and Lois Olson, of Neenah; Kay Peterson, of Winneconne; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Margie was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
A Funeral Service for Margie will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, Larsen, Wisconsin, with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank Anne and Steve Krause and all of the staff at Alten Haus for their tender love and care the past 3 years. Special thanks to Savannah who cared for Mom at home and at Alten Haus, and also to Tracy, Alma, and Sr. Ruth of Heartland Hospice for their care at the end.
