John A."Buc" Buchanan
Winneconne, Wisconsin

John A."Buc" Buchanan, of Winneconne, died Monday, March 14, 2011. He was born in Neenah on October 26, 1950, to the late Ross O. and Betty Jane (Gothe) Buchanan.
Buc grew up in Winneconne and was confirmed at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1972. He was a member of D.U. and the N.R.A.
Buc was a very hard worker. He was a truck driver most of his life and was employed at Badger Federal for many years where he earned several safe driving awards.
Buc liked to go fishing with his children and friends and looked forward to the annual fishing trip to Minnesota with the guys. He also enjoyed hunting and playing cards. Buc was a big fan of the Packers and Brewers. But most of all, he loved his family and being a grandpa. Buc thoroughly enjoyed family get-togethers, especially Christmas, so he could give tons of presents.
Buc married Mary Wolff in 1974 and had four children. He is survived by his only daughter, Lydia Farber, of Oshkosh; three sons, Timothy (Heidi) Wolff, of Oshkosh; Zachary (Joann) Buchanan, of Omro; and Joseph (Rhonda) Buchanan, of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren that he cherished more than anything, Anna Buchanan, Grayson Wolff, John Buchanan, Catherine Wolff, Amanda Wolff, Caitlyn Buchanan, Allie Lowney, and Abbie Lowney. Buc is further survived by two sisters, Barb Buchanan, of Winneconne; Sue (Jeff) Lee, of Oshkosh, and their two daughters, Andrea (Phil) Schultz and Erica; and an uncle, Donald (Helen) Gothe, of Menasha.
Along with his parents, Buc was also preceded in death by two younger brothers, Brian and Jim.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne. There will be no formal service. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in the Winneconne Cemetery.
We love you and will miss you every day.
