Clifford H. Williams, age 92, of Winneconne, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at home. He was born February 21, 1919, in Winneconne to the late Harvey and Ada (Halder) Williams. Cliff served in Burma with the U.S. Army during World War II, and he earned a Purple Heart for his service. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering until IBM offered him a job, and he worked there for more than 35 years until his retirement. On June 21, 1952, Cliff married Germaine Wolf in Oshkosh and they made their home in Milwaukee until 1981, at which time they moved to Winneconne. Germaine preceded Cliff in death on June 2, 1992. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne.
Clifford is survived by two sons and their families, David Williams, Sr., of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; and his two children, Jennifer and David, Jr.; Bruce (Kim Iley) Williams, of Oshkosh; and his step-daughter, Kiley; grandson, Chris; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, Cliff was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Williams; and two brothers, Harvey and Martin Williams.
A Funeral Mass for Clifford will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne, with Fr. Doug LeCaptain and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Cliff's name.

I just looked up Cliffs name on the computer and saw his funeral notice. We were planning a trip to see him. Live in Mayville now. Bob is in pretty bad shape.
