Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
John W. Kiesow
John "Tex" William Kiesow, age 49, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2011. Tex was born on December 22, 1961, to William and Janice (Landwehr) Kiesow, in Neenah, Wisconsin. On November 7, 2009, after over 25 years together, he married the love of his life, Jane Zehner, and they resided in Neenah, Wisconsin. Tex and Jane created the joy of their life, Leslie, with whom Tex had the honor of walking down the aisle just days prior to his passing.
Tex was a carpenter by trade and built many unique items for friends and family. Tex was known for his artistic ability and shared this with his daughter as he worked side-by-side with her in her new business. Tex was very proud of his daughter and loved spending time with his new son-in-law, Matt. Tex and his wife were looking forward to becoming grandparents some day. If you knew him at all you knew he had a special connection with children, the elderly, and animals; they all loved him. Tex was always the life of the party and always won a prize for the best dressed. Tex loved to work diligently at the Burial Chambers in Neenah and shared his many talents. His talent for creating something out of nothing was exceptional. Tex enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and recently enjoyed a beautiful day out catching salmon on Lake Michigan with his son-in law. Tex was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for everyone else, and especially for his wife. Tex enjoyed gardening and recently created a pond and was thrilled by all his new frogs it attracted. Tex shared his heart with everyone, particularly his numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom had their own names for him, such as Uncle Chocolate Chips, etc.
Tex is survived by his beautiful loving wife, Jane; and their daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Matt Wilson, Neenah, Wisconsin; his parents, William and Janice Kiesow, of Neenah; his sister, Jody (Randy) Schwanke, of Pickett. Tex is further survived by his mother-in-law, Marge Zehner, of Allenville; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, John and Sue Zehner, Sue and Jess Caponigro, of Sun City, CA; Jean and Mitch Beatty, of Neenah; Peggy and Kevin Foster, of Talkeetna, AK; Liz and Jim Luce, of Winneconne; Lester and Lisa Zehner of Minneapolis, MN.; nieces and nephews: Chelsea and Tanner Tate, Medina; Jordon and Carrie Schwanke, Pickett; Lisa and Jake Brucks, Larsen; Adam and Amanda Zehner, Fremont; Benjamin Zehner, Neenah; Billie Jo and Jake Gross, Neenah; Jessica and Andrew Anson, Long Beach, CA; Megan (fiancé Jon Brem), Milwaukee; Tom Beatty (Robin), Madison; Melissa (Hank) Mitchell, Larsen; Brian Luce, Larsen; Riley and Tess Foster, Talkeetna, AK.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia and Emily Gross, Grace and Aubrey Mitchell, Larsen; Oliver Zehner; Jordon and Peyton Zehner.
Tex had many close friends who shared his love for fun and he will be greatly missed.
Tex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Dorothy Kiesow, and Alfred and Olga Landwehr; his aunt, Kathryn Kiesow; father-in-law, Leslie Zehner, and brother-in-law, James Zehner; and his only son "Boof", his black lab.

I had the privelidge to get to know "Tex" at the Burial Chamber Haunted House over the past 4 years. Me and Tex would always joke around every night, drive the golf-kart and have some beers after to celebrate another great night at the haunted house. I even had the chance to spend some time with him at some local places in neenah, telling jokes and listening to bands. I will miss all of his jokes and his sense of humor. May God Bless you and your family. My heart goes out to all of you in the Kiesow family.
Sincerely with Love, Corey Manders
(Burial Chamber name- Beetlejuice)
