Michael T. Obermoeller

Michael T. Obermoeller, age 62, of Winneconne, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at home. He was born on January 24, 1949, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Wallace and Ardelle (Kittelson) Obermoeller. Mike honored his country by serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was employed with the Minnesota Veterans Administration for a number of years until ill health caused his retirement. Since 2005 Mike has made his home in Winneconne.
He was a member of the Minnesota American Legion, and the Giles-Luce American Legion Post 364 in Winneconne. Mike enjoyed all sports, especially bass fishing, bowling, golfing, and he was a great fan of the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears.
Mike is survived by one son, Michael Obermoeller, Jr.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Chris and Gary Midday, of Lake Zurich, IL; Sally and Jerry Bigoness, of Solon Springs, WI; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Tribute to a Veteran Service was held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Mueller Funeral Home, conducted by the Giles-Luce American Legion Post 364, and a Funeral Service followed. Cremation will take place.
