Georgette, we are very sad to hear this news. I recall when Dave took several of us from the office out on your boat some 10 years ago - he obviously loved sailing and everybody had a great time. Great memories, not to be forgotten.

Dear Dave I wish you well on your journey. I want thank you for your friendship, support, kindness and generosity. I want to thank you for your help on projects, your knowledge and input at key times, often were the difference between success and failure( historically an explosion of my temper) Additionally, I want to thank you for your forgiveness, you forgave me for something many others would not have. I’m sorry you didn’t get enjoy your shared retirement with George. Both of you had worked so hard, over the years to enjoy them together. The bone I have to pick with you, is your sudden departure has hurt a number of people I care about. I know you did a good job of setting things up for your family, but I don’t want you to worry. Both I and Joleen will do anything to lookout/help them. I will try to remind them, especially the younger ones, there is a fine line between hero and asshole. You have been a great friend and the best shipmate anyone could ask for. If you wouldn’t mind, could you please check out the ports up there, so you can show the rest of us around when we get there. Our adventures down here have been cut short because of your rapid departure, I hope that we can resume our adventures when we meet again. Roll call will never be the same. I want you to know you have touched many hearts here and the world is a safer and better place because of you. Never again will I be able to see a plaid shirt again, without smiling and thinking of you. Fair winds, following seas and good fishing to you my friend! Mission Complete

Dave was a great friend, neighbor, fellow animal lover who was taken too early. His love for animals was easy to see as he diligently strolled with his "buddy" Jake every day, rain or shine, winter or summer. He will be greatly missed by all !!
