I will never forget the day my daughter had a brain aneurysm as long as I live. We were so blessed on that fateful day to end up with Dr. Phaendtner in ER...he acted like his life depended on saving hers. I can see and hear the orders he barked and remember well how fast he moved when he realized what the possible problem was. He gave STAT a new meaning. I am deeply saddened by the news of his departure. He played an important part in Katies life we will never forget.

Kate, Sorry that I won't be with you this afternoon, I'm committed to the Historical Society for the day. I always enjoyed working with Chris. Yes, the jokes got a little old, but behind the jokes was a guy with a great personality who wanted to help everyone. And he had the skills to do just that. His illness frustrated him, but it seldom got him down. Ii'm so glad that he had several years of "good time" helping with the Lions before the end. It meant everything to him.

Kate, Steve and I are so very sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. There are so many funny and great memories we have shared with you both and the kids. We remember how Steve cut himself and Chris stitched him up at the kitchen table with Claire sitting on Steve's lap just taking it all in, nothing made that little girl squeamish and Chris would just laugh. Even though the years have drifted us all apart we think of you often and what fun we had. God's blessings on you and the family during this very hard time.

Sincere condolences to family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Pfaendtner...I had the privilege of working with him in his role as an Emergency Room Physician At St Clare’s, Weston. He consistently exhibited genuine compassion for his patients, and readily shared his vast expertise when Med control for the Weston-based Spirit MTS transport crew. In my teenage years Chris was like a brother to me, we spent endless hours listening to music and things most 70s teens did, together we were the muscle behind his brother Michaels high school band Harsh Mistress, we were in charge of caring all the equipment and running lights and sound while the band played! Chris And Michael’s mom and dad Georgina and Bill We’re awesome hosts to me and a lot of our friends allowing us to hang out in the basement and play music, I was always fed and consider them my second set of parents. I had two good friends name Christopher and my son was named after them! Thank you for being my brother, I Love you and I will see you soon!

Chris was a great guy. One of my favorite memories was at the going away party that Chris and Kate hosted at Freedom Hill Park before they moved to Wisconsin. They had catered pigs for a pig roast. Chris jumped in to “surgically” carve the pigs for the picnic. It was quite the show, with his quick witted commentary. The kids were totally engrossed. After he removed the head he asked the crowd of kids who wanted the head! Some young boy excitedly grabbed it and ran off! Then Chris asked who it was and we discovered he was from another picnic at the park and not one of the guests. We all had s good laugh! Hoping great memories of a great guy will carry you through this difficult time.
