Daniel “Dan” J. Pettis, of Oshkosh, WI passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the age of 59.

Remembered by former spouse and mother of their two daughters, Wanda Corn; loving devoted father of Janice (Joshua “Josh” Janczak Sr.) Pettis, Paula Pettis, Wayne Paliwoda, Steven “Steve” Micik, and John “Johnny” Micik; proud son of the late Janice (Richard) Jochem and William “Bill” Pettis; best friend and companion of Sam; loving attentive grandfather of Joshua “Junior” Janczak Jr., Alejandro “Alex” Ojeda Jr., Steven “Stevie” Jr, Brendon, Daniel John “Deejay”, Melinda, Makayla, Marissa, John “JJ” Jr., Miaysa and Mionny Micik; cherished brother of late Wanda (David) Antoniak, late Patricia (late Perry) Gevers, Steven “Steve” Pettis, Denise Popp, Brendan Pettis, Collen Pettis; brother-in-law of Annette “Tiny” Wilber, Alberta “Suzie” Peterson, Rae “Jo” Corn, Laura “Cutty” Waukau, Patricia “Gina” Corn, late Raymond “Charlie” Corn, late Richard “Pete” Corn, Frank “NeNe” Corn.  

Preceded in death by his parents and many other relatives.

Dan was loved and will be remembered by many family and friends. Dan was proud to carry on his father’s passion and experience in painting and went on working most of his life as a union painter, painting some of the most historical buildings/landmarks including the Allen-Bradley Clock Tower in Milwaukee, WI where Dan was born and raised. Dan always welcomed and made time for family and friends, had a fun-loving outgoing personality, and a sense of humor that was known to put a smile on the face of those around him and will be missed dearly. Dan cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed attending celebrations and sports events. Dan also had a love fishing, music and sports.

Special thanks to the staffs of: Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac and DaVita Fond du Lac Dialysis.

Dan’s family will greet family and friends on Saturday, September 12, 2020, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main Street, Winneconne, WI 54986.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
