Harold Lloyd Miller, age 79, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born December 6, 1931, in Neenah to the late Glenn and Effie (Forsythe) Miller. Harold attended U.W.-Oshkosh and from 1951 to 1954 he served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Orleck. On June 9, 1956, Harold married Treasure Ann Waite at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. For over 30 years he worked at Miles Kimball until his retirement. Harold enjoyed spending time with family, deer hunting, playing dartball, and bowling on the Tuesday night league. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Oshkosh where he had served as an elder. Harold was also a leader of the Lutheran Boy Pioneers, and was a member of the American Legion.
Harold is survived by his wife of 55 years, Treasure Miller, of Oshkosh; five sons, Rev. Rick, of Jamestown, New York; Randal (Joan), of Oshkosh; Ronald (Darlene), of Winneconne; Jeffrey (Mary), of Butte des Morts; and Rev. Scott (Christine), of Lehigh Acres, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, Douglas, Aaron, Ryan (Sarah), Jessica, Jaime, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jacob, Justine (Jose), Orrianna, Marrisa, Robin (Heather), and Christopher; eight great-grandchildren, Ivan, Karlie, Evelyn, Audrey, Andrew, Silas, Alayna, and Adrian; one brother, Eddie; and other family members and friends.
Along with his parents, Harold was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters, George, Donny, Glenn, Mary Jane Mueller, Helen Kunde, Bernice Norton, and Donna Mae Bottine.
A Memorial Service for Harold will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario St., Oshkosh, with Pastor Paul Lidtke officiating. Inurnment with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
