Norma Marie (Josi) Tegelman, age 96, formerly of Winneconne, died Friday, February 12, 2021, at Gabriel’s Villa in Oshkosh. She was born October 19, 1924, in Rusk County, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Francis (Gebhard) Josi. Norma was a graduate of Ladysmith High School. On October 18, 1945, she married Philip Tegelman in Evanston, Illinois. For many years Norma was employed by the State of Wisconsin at the Winnebago County Mental Health Institute. For almost 25 years Norma and Phil spent their winters in California with their daughter Donna. She was an avid gardener and did canning. Norma was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne.
Norma is survived by two children, Alan Tegelman, Donna (Andrew Ranzieri) Tegelman; grandchildren, Lori (Roman III) Jungers, Debbie (Michael) Paul; two great-granddaughters, Kimberly and Courtney Jungers; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Norma was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Phil; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Olson) Tegelman; three brothers, Adolph, Leslie, and George Josi; three sisters, Margaret Sillman, Bernice Schmitz, and Doris Milz; and Philip’s three brothers and two sisters.
A private funeral service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
In lieu of flowers or memorials and Norma’s love for animals, if desired please make a donation to your local Humane Society or animal shelter.
Norma’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Gabriel’s Villa for their kindness and compassion in caring for her.
