Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Alyce E. Little, age 88, longtime resident of Winneconne, died on April 2, 2021.
She was born to William and Rose Miracle on March 14, 1933. Alyce married John, the love of her life, on August 18, 1951, and together they raised four daughters. Alyce loved spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play, coffee at the “round table”, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and bread with butter at each meal.
Her spaghetti was “famous” (at least in the family). Her purse contained multitudes – amazing candy, treats, toys, and the occasional light bulb. Alyce had a style all her own with a sweatshirt in every style, color, and pattern for any and every occasion. Her only weakness was the youngest child, who was sent to make requests on behalf of everyone else, most importantly the opening of Christmas presents. She made sure her grandchildren and great grandchildren never lacked for juice boxes or cookies.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail (Bob) Anderson, Sue Jasperson, Patty Little, and Julie Schroeder; grandchildren, Niki (Erik) Pederson, Alyssa Foss, Matthew (Trish) Jasperson, Shelli (Martha) Galewski, Becky (Caleb) Bentz, Sara Leintz, and Michael Schroeder; and great-grandchildren Arin, Leah, Alyce and Elizabeth Pederson; Sam, Leo, and Rachel Foss; Grayden and Sawyer Jasperson; Landen, Finley and Logan Bentz; and Henry Leintz. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Matthias; and brother, Harvey Miracle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Little; and siblings, Arlene, Joyce, Lolus, Billy, Bud, Deanna, LaVerne, James and Rollie.
We would like to acknowledge Heartland Hospice for the care they provided.
A very special thank you to Lisa and the entire staff at Country Villa Assisted Living in Omro where she lived from 2018 until her death. Your love, support and care are unmatched. We cannot thank you enough for giving Alyce an amazing home and second family.
Per Alyce’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Winneconne Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family.
She heard John calling from the great beyond, “Come on old woman…,” and knew it was time to go.
