Marilyn Irene (Laabs) Pollack
Winneconne, Wisconsin

Marilyn Pollack, age 66, of Winneconne, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at home. She was born April 30, 1945, in Oshkosh to the late William H. and Elsie B. (Weiland) Laabs. On December 30, 1967, Marilyn married Bob Pollack in Oshkosh. For many years she worked as a grocery cashier, retiring in 2008 due to ill health. In her earlier years, Marilyn enjoyed roller skating, was a lifelong bowler who bowled on the Rec Lanes Ladies Thursday night bowling league, and she was elected to the Oshkosh Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Marilyn collected cardinals and music box snow globes, and she also enjoyed playing cards and line-dancing. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Michael Pollack, of Winneconne; three children, Angela May (Ian) Dodge, of Oshkosh; Beverly Jean Porter, of Winneconne; Michael Edward (Birgit Leisen Pollack) Pollack, of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Kathleen, Ellen, and Lorna Dodge; Elijah, Rebecca, and Abigail Porter; four brothers, Lawrence (Lucinda) Laabs, Lester (Barbara) Laabs, Marvin Laabs, all of Oshkosh; Raymond (Sandra) Laabs, of Flossmoor, Illinois; lifelong friends, Carol (Dennis) Krause, Barb (Tom) Philipp, Sue (Jim) Sonnleitner, all of Oshkosh; Mary (Jim) Tessen, of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with Fr. Luke Ferris and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Oshkosh.
Marilyn's family wishes to thank the Aurora Medical Center staff, Dr. Dar and Dr. Zernzach, and the staff of Aurora VNA for all of the care given to her.

our prayers are with for the loss of a wonederful wife and mom and person...we know marilyn loved God and is at true peace with Him. I am sorry but I wont beable to make the funeral but my prayers will be said for marilyn and your family at a mass thursday morning..the putzer family
