Viola RoseMarie Londowski, age 89, of Winneconne, died Friday morning, November 25, 2011, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. She was born on December 9, 1921, in Cicero, IL, the daughter of the late Martin and Minnie (Wilder) Herman. Viola married Theodore C. Londowski on August 30, 1941, in Cicero where they made their home until 1951. She was employed with Western Electric, Hot Point Corp., and Zenith Radio and T.V., until 1951at which time they moved to Wisconsin. Viola was a graduate of LPN Vocational Nursing School in Neenah, and a post graduate of nursing from Theda Clark Medical Center where she was employed from 1963 until she retired in 1984. She had been a resident of Winneconne for forty years.
Viola was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne, the Honey Bee's Travel Club, A Spousal member of Chapter #73 C.C.C., the Widows Society, the Ladies of the Grand Army of The Republic, and she was a volunteer at the Oshkosh Senior Center.
She was devoted to her grandsons Greg and Len and cherished her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her grandson, Gregory (Debbi) Koepke, and their daughter, Tanya Koepke and her children Timo, Justin, and Kevin; their son, Jacob (Brandi) Koepke, and their children Tre and Brontay; their son, Brandon Koepke; their daughter, Rhiannon Koepke and her special friend Brandon Stanley. She is also survived by her other grandson, Leonard A. Koepke, and his son, Theodore Koepke and fiancée' Abigail Nelson. Viola is also survived by one brother, Daniel Herman, of Cicero; her sisters-in-law, Sophie Kleisner, Nancy Herman, Gen Londowski, and her especially close friend and sister-in-law, Maxine Londowski. Viola was also blessed with a number of nieces and nephews and many good friends and neighbors.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; her daughter, Carol Marie Koepke; one brother, George Herman; and one sister, Lillian Herman.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastors John Covach and Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be on Friday, December 2 in the Winneconne Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.
Viola's family would like to thank the staffs at Theda Clark Medical Center and Cherry Meadows Hospice for making her last days comfortable with their kindness and caring compassion.
