Dear Lou and family:
We thank God for Raymond's life and all that he did on the farm to help feed the world (Harvey grew up on the farm, too), and for all that he did to keep electrical power working in our communities and throughout the Midwest(Our ships would be sunk without it)--and for all that he did for the church of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And that includes your being secretary for many years for the Northeast Association of the United Church of Christ, a part of Christ's whole church in the world The very fact that you became a part of a denomination different than yours, and Ray on occasion was there at your side in the activities in that denomination shows the open mindedness that Christ has for all who are faithful to Him. Remember, He prayed that all be one in his High Priestly Prayer (John 17). Now Ray has become one with our Lord and all the saints in glory. He is resting from his labors and has conquered the weakness of the flesh in resurrection. God always has the last word in the midst of our weak earthly lives and that word of hope conquers all sin, all disease, all frailty. We shall be conquerors through Him who loved us.
We thank and praise God for his life and his witness upon this earth. May you be comforted by the promises of God in your sorrow.
We would share the aches of your hearts through Christ our Lord.

I remember all the Remmels with great fondness. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Ray died on what would have been my Mom's 99th birthday.

Dear Luella and family: We just found out about Ray's passing from Pastor Alice, went to web site and discovered that you are having gathering and remembrance for Ray even as we write this. Please be assured that we are with you in spirit right now and giving thanks for Ray's life, our privilege of knowing him as a friend, and our recent opportunities of having some quiet time together. We will hold on to special memories of our delightful musical evening at Buttermilk Creek Park last summer. As Ray now joins that "cloud of witnesses whom no one can number," we trust that his spirit is soaring from light to Light. May God comfort all of you in the days ahead. --Bill & Barbara Urbrock
