Norman Manteufel, age 77, of Neenah, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at home. He was born May 28, 1935, in Neenah to the late Walter and Gertrude (Naleway) Manteufel. On June 25, 1955, Norm married Gloria Olson at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. For 44 years, he worked for Bergstrom/Glatfelter Paper Company in Neenah until his retirement. Norm enjoyed hunting, fishing in Minnesota, snowmobiling with the Country Riders, and riding his 4-wheeler and John Deere tractor around the farm. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Winchester.
Norm is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria Manteufel; four children, JoAnn (Bill) Schafer, Mary (Dave) Kutchenriter, Mark (Kristin) Manteufel, Tim (Shari) Manteufel; ten grandchildren, Amelia, Shane, Keegan, Mandie, Whitney, Emily, Nick, Aleya, Scott, and Chad; three great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty Olson; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Norm was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elias and Minnie Olson; one brother, Ronald Manteufel; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rollie Olson, Glen and Elaine Olson, and Neoma Zivko.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr., Larsen, with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Winchester. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
