She was born July 11, 1939, in Greenville, to the late Edwin and Florence (Becher) Schueler. Dolores was a 1957 graduate of Appleton High School. On October 20, 1962, she married Roy Peterson at St. Mary's Church in Menasha. Dolores and Roy lived in Appleton and Neenah before moving to Allenville (town of Vinland) in 1971. For a period of time, Dolores assisted and substituted when needed at Winneconne Elementary School in the special needs classes for mentally or physically disabled children. She was a special and caring advocate for her son Paul and other children with disabilities.
Dolores enjoyed bowling, camping, reading, rummaging, antiquing, listening to polka and old country music and going out for fish frys. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as many beloved family pets.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Roy Peterson of Allenville, and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this October. She will be missed by her six children and their families, Rosemary (Robert) Roth, of Omro, and their children, Bobby, Terri, Laura, and Michelle; Elizabeth (Thomas) Kelling, of Quincy, Illinois, and their daughters, Clarice and Elaine; Ray Peterson (Patty Winkler), of Larsen; Bonnie (Todd) Nagler, of Butte des Morts, and their daughters, Corrie and Samantha; Paul Peterson, of Neenah; Molly Peterson (Scott Bellile), of Neenah, and his son, Tyler. Greetings Peterson Family ~ Many fond memories of Mrs. Peterson and the support she gave her children/family as the students participated in our youth programs and The Spirit Singers. I enjoyed visits to the house and making a few trips with her to the Salvatorian MIssions in New Holstein. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you all the best as you go through this difficult time. You have many positive memories to treasure :). Dear Family, your mother and I had many good times together when we were young and took our first trip out West together the year we were 21. I was with her the day she met Roy. She was a good person and always thought of others. She loved music and taught it well.

Your mom had a great smile and I remember her great laugh! So generous with her time and talent. I mostly remember her in her knit cap at church! We spent many good times together when we were young. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.
