Wally Messerschmidt, age 81, of Winneconne, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at home. She was born November 17, 1930, to the late Rudolph and Mary Freund. Wally was married to Benjamin Messerschmidt for 61 years and he preceded her in death.
Wally is survived by five children, Steve (Barb) Messerschmidt, Sue (Gary) Lee, Tom (Lori) Messerschmidt, Jim (Geri) Messerschmidt, Pat (Jill) Messerschmidt; and daughter-in-law, Jill Messerschmidt. She is further survived by Cindy (Messerschmidt) Krueger; her grandchildren, Peter (Jennifer) Messerschmidt, Nicole Lee, Justen Last, Jason (Kristie) Last, Jonathan Last, Michelle Messerschmidt, Megan (Brian) Friedauer, Ben (Marci) Messerschmidt, Michael, Matthew, and Marcus Messerschmidt, Will Messerschmidt, Amanda and Abby Messerschmidt; eight great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Kirstin (Mike) Nowak, Nicholas, and Samantha Larson; one sister, Rosemary Bodah; three sisters-in-law, Lola, Emma, and Betty Freund; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Wally was also preceded in death by two sons, William and Michael Messerschmidt; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and John Last; one granddaughter, Stacy Messerschmidt; and five brothers and sisters, Alex, Melvin, Rudy, Esther, and Priscilla.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial Mass will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne, with Fr. William Van De Kreeke and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

I'm so very sorry for your loss and all of ours, the road trips were always fun and her happiness over Aron Rogers waving to her will never be forgotten,she now has no more pain and join her family above watching over all of us!

We are sorry for your loss, but know that she is now at peace. We will miss her and will always remember how she was such a hugh part of our family's life. We can already hear her, mom and Susie laughing at "nothing". We will miss her memorial mass but will have your entire family in our prayers.

So very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person. Her smile, sense of humor will be greatly missed. She was loved by so many people. I smile to think of what she, mom and "the girls" are doing now!!!!!
