Soren Peter Smith, age 24, passed unexpectedly September 21, 2012. He graduated from Winneconne High School with the class of 2007, along with being an Eagle Scout, and a lover of track and sports. Soren loved his pets Jasper, Rose, and Brandy.
He is the second son of Cathy Leverich (Alan) Retzlaff, and William (Mary) Smith. Also surviving him are brother, Jacob E. Smith; sisters, Lynn M. Smith and Amy M. Primley; grandparents, Marilyn Leverich, Phyllis Retzlaff, Mary and Fredrick H. Schapsmeier, Ph.D.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Soren will be welcomed by grandparents, Andrew Smith, Gerald Leverich, and Charles Retzlaff; along with great-grandfather, Soren Peter Rasmussen of Oshkosh.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 27, 2012, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, with a time of remembrance at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Soren's name.

I can't believe my cousin is gone. The pain inside myself is unbearable. My heart reaches out to everyone else who shares this pain. Soren will always be remembered and missed very much. I am so sorry for your loss. I love you Soren!
