Joan T. Doro, age 82, of Omro, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born in Oshkosh on Decemeber16, 1929, the daughter of George and Mary (Macho) Diel. Joan attended Oshkosh schools with the exception of her final year when she graduated from Omro High School in 1947. On February 26, 1949, she married Hubert "Bud" Doro at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro.
Joan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hubert; children, James, Jeanette, and Robert (Leanne) Doro, all of Omro; Ann Doro, of Neenah; and Marilyn Werra, of Cicero, Illinois. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Dennis and Natalie Werra, of Cicero, Illinois; Gwendolyn (Lance) Relland, of Seattle, Washington; a brother, John (Iris) Diel; sisters, Florence Diel, Rose (Ralph) Watkins, Mary Haasch, and Ellen (Russ) Frees; brother-in-law, Richard Kasuboski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Frances Diel; a brother, George Diel; son-in-law, Ed Werra; brothers-in-law, Vincent and Charles Doro, Francis Haasch; and sisters-in-law, DeLaine and Sandra Diel, and Barbara Kasuboski.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, October 22, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 Madison Ave. Omro. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at noon at the church with Fr. Luke Ferris and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
