June Berniece (Hart) Thorson, of Saxeville, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born to Charles and Eula (Place) Hart in the town of Poygan. On March 27, 1970, June married James Thorson at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester. She was employed at The Larsen Locker, Thorsons Larsen Locker, and later at Food Queen in Oshkosh. After moving to Saxeville she worked at Butchers Hollow until her retirement in 2010. June enjoyed gardening of all kinds, canning, and giving her canned vegetables away to her many friends and relatives. She and Jim also enjoyed entertaining their family and friends around the campfire; many picnics and holidays were celebrated at their home in the woods which they built themselves. June will be remembered for her willingness to help out family, friends, and neighbors whenever possible. June's family always came first.
Those left to cherish June's memory include her husband, Jim (whom June wanted everyone to know was a loving and devoted husband and stepfather to her and her family); one son, Ronnie (Diane) Schmude, of Oshkosh, and their children Stacy (Greg) Wilker, and Steven (Chill); two daughters, Nancy (James) Johnson, of Winneconne, and their children, Jeffrey (Karen), and Michael; Carol (Robert) Salvinski, of Oshkosh, and their children, Scott (special friend, Katie), and Jennifer (special friend, Greg). She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and their families. June also leaves behind a special family in Rick (Katie) Schmude and their family, of Fond du Lac.
Preceding June in death were her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Albert Hess; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clair and Lorraine Hart, and Clifford and Mag Hart. She was also preceded in death by an infant baby brother, Erwin; and a nephew, Robert Hart.
Abiding by June's wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, town of Poygan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

What a truly wonderful person we were all blessed to know and love. I have many fond memories--like the day June and Jim planted Maple trees in our front yard while we were having lunch, and none of us knew it until later that day!! My first job was at the Larsen Locker, and June picked me up to take me to work. I will miss her. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I have such happy memories of staying at your house when I was little. I remember your Mom as always being on the go and so full of life, laughing alot. I'm glad I got to reconnect with her these last few years. I'll always remember my favorite Aunt June with love. I'm thinking of you all so much, I hope thinking of the good times will help you with your loss. Love Lynda

When your heart breaks it's hard to realize that others know exactly how empty you feel. And although the days are bleak now, be patient and vigiliante...her spirit will come to comfort you. In the meantime rejoice in the love she had for each of you and that binds you together; death cannot break that bond. We extend our deepest sympathy. Karen & Ray

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Remembering the good times will help, at least a little, in filling the void left by someone so precious to you.
