Mark "Shorty" A. Timm, age 48, of Omro, WI formerly of Colby, WI passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, WI. He was born November 22, 1964, in Wausau, WI, to Arlene Mueller and Fred J. Timm (stepmother, Ruth Timm).
Mark was a wrestling champion for Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He was employed for many years at Abbyland Meats in Abbotsford, WI and especially enjoyed working at and helping out at various farms.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, model cars, and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR (Earnhardt, Jr.) fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred J. Timm; and one brother, Gregory A. Timm.
Mark is survived by his three children, Gregory Timm, Samantha (Brandon) Miller, both of Rib Lake, WI; and Dakota Timm, of Owen, WI; one grandchild, Eric Miller, of Rib Lake, WI; a brother, Wayne Timm, of Brodhead, WI; and sisters, Frances Volhard (Dave Huey), Kathleen Hackel, Patricia (Jim) Wendtland, Betty (John) Swinford, and Jackie (Tom) Cebula; many nieces and nephews; his stepmother, Ruth Timm; and his very special friend, Karen O'Reilly.
A memorial service is being held at the First Presbyterian Church, 32 S. Third Ave. Winneconne, WI at1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, with Pastor Richard Kreager officiating. Luncheon will be served after the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Mercy Medical Center for the compassion, care, and friendship they provided for Mark and his family and friends.
