Karen Jean Neuman, loving wife and mother, passed away on July 29, 2021.

Karen is survived by her husband, John; her daughter, Jennifer (Daniel) Breister; and son, Kevin (Jessica) Neuman. One of Karen’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, Taylor (Kamie) Krueger, Hailey (Cory) Sauer, Ashley Breister, Gabrielle Neuman, Hannah Neuman, and great-grandson Charlie Ogden. Karen is also survived by her siblings, Beth (Bill) Marquardt, Charlie (Doreen) Marsh, John (Joanne) Marsh, Jim (Julie) Marsh, David (Sheryl) Marsh; as well as Teresa Flanigan, Ruth Sheradon, Paul (Vickie) Neuman, Paula (Dan) Smith, Roy (Beverly) Neuman, and Jason Neuman. Additionally, Karen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

On September 4, 1952, Karen was born to Robert and Carol Marsh in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent her childhood traveling throughout the country until they settled in Winneconne in 1965. The next year she met the love of her life, John. They were married in September of 1969. After welcoming her two children into her life, she began her career at Oshkosh B’Gosh, where she proudly dedicated 20 years of service. Later in life, she transitioned to N & M Transfer, until she retired in 2011. For the last decade, she spent time enjoying her family, traveling, canning, and crocheting. Those who knew her well appreciated her gifts of jam/jelly, stocking caps, or blankets.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Carol Marsh; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ethel and Matt Neuman; as well as a brother-in-law, James Flanigan.

Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, including her early morning walking and card playing groups.

For those wishing to celebrate her life, a visitation will be held at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Backpack via the Winneconne Area Assistance Center.

If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfh.net.

Aunt Karen... Our late summer pears, apples, and elderberries will never be the same without your laughter as we can and share sweet conversations. We will forever miss our famous Aunt Karen's Salad! Crocheting is now gaining a whole new meaning. Our scrubbies will forever be my favorite thing to make. I've loved you from the moment we've met. I will always love you. There is a void in my heart that cannot be filled without your smile. I'll see you in Heaven. I love you.

Karen was my supervisor at N & M Transfer. She was awesome to work with! It's rare that supervisors will joke around with you, but she did. She was hard when she needed to be and she could also be quite funny! She will be missed.
