Thomas William Meyer, age 68, of Winneconne, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah with his family by his side.
He was born August 24, 1944, in Neenah to the late William and Agnes (Hammes) Meyer. On August 24, 1985, Tom married Nancy Nabbefeld in Neenah. For over 40 years, he was employed with Menasha Corporation in Neenah until his retirement. Tom enjoyed traveling, Milwaukee Brewers baseball, boating, and spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife, Nancy Meyer, of Winneconne; his daughter, Laurie (Kris) Knaus, of Menasha, and their family, Jasmine Knaus, of Menasha; Zachary (Stephanie) Knaus, and their daughter, Addaline, of Green Bay; his son, Todd (Tina) Meyer and their son, Harry, of San Francisco, California; two brothers, Richard Meyer, of Neenah; Don (Hanyo) Meyer, of King; sister, Joanne (Archie) Hinahara, of Neenah; sisters-in-law, Betsy Nabbefeld, of Madison; Barbara (Ken) Kronschnabel, of Winneconne, and their children, Taylor and Sam; brother-in-law, Andy Nabbefeld, of Madison; and many other nieces, nephews, and family.
Along with his parents, Tom was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert, and Eugene Meyer; and his stepfather, Joe.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Lord of the Lakes Church, 6090 Harbour South (corner of Hwy 116 and Harbour South) Winneconne, with Pastor Kevin Heffernan officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Immediately following the service there will be a gathering to celebrate Tom's life at the Fin n Feather in Winneconne.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for the American Cancer Society.
Tom's family wishes to thank the caring staffs of the ICU and 5 South at Theda Clark as well as the staff of Fox Valley Oncology and Hematology.

Nancy, I only had the pleasure of meeting Tom once, it was at the Elton John concert in Madison. Your brother Andy talked often about Tom and yourself at work and all the special places you would go.From those stories Tom sounds like a great guy to have known. I wish to offer my condolences to you and your family.
