Kenneth G. Penniston, age 72, of Winneconne, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born October 23, 1940, in Fayette, Wisconsin to the late Kenneth W. and Helen (Olson) Penniston. Ken was a graduate of Darlington High School, U.W. Platteville, and he earned his Master's degree from U.W. Oshkosh. On July 23, 1964, Ken married Caryl Dobler. He had taught school in Carpentersville, Illinois and Kaukauna, Wisconsin before going to work for 31 years at U.W. Oshkosh, where he was the Director of the Data Computer Center until his retirement. Ken enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, golfing, and boating.
Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Caryl Penniston, of Winneconne; two sons and their families, Jeff and Lia Penniston, of Homestead, Florida, and their children, Cody and Kyle; Brad and Heather Penniston, of Argyle, Wisconsin, and their children, Josie and BJ; one brother, Terry Penniston, of Janesville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents, Ken was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Bob Loken; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Penniston.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18 at noon at the Fayette United Methodist Church, 11013 Cty Rd F, Fayette, Wisconsin. Pastor Larry Hakes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fayette Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Tuesday.

Our family is so sorry about your loss Gay was a very nice guy. Usally only seen him at hunting time he will be missed by people in the Fayette area

So sorry for your loss. We have so many good memories of camping, houseboating ,our March get-togethers and dances over the years. Gay will be truly missed by all who knew him. There is a party in heaven now. God Bless your family
