Marian Von Holzen, age 84, of Winneconne died Friday, July 26, 2013, at home. She was born September 8, 1928, in Ashland, Wisconsin to the late Anton and Pauline (Matejka) Krizan. On June 14, 1947, Marian married Erwin Von Holzen at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Ashland. For many years she was employed by Markert's Hardware in Winneconne, and was involved in the family business, Von Holzen Dairy. Marian was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne.
Marian is survived by her husband of 66 years, Erwin Von Holzen; three children and their spouses, Richard and Cindy Von Holzen, Dianne and Mike Phillips, Dennis and Julie Von Holzen; five grandchildren, Rick and Darcey Von Holzen, Rob and Nicole Von Holzen, David Phillips, Katie Von Holzen, Amy Von Holzen; four great-grandchildren, Bryce and Jenna Von Holzen, and Ethan and Liliana Von Holzen; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Marian was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Phillips; one sister, Ann Saric; and two brothers, Paul and Frank Krizan.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with Fr. Doug LeCaptain and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 29 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Memorials in Marian's name may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne.
