Norma M. Christianson
Norma M. Christianson passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home at King. Norma was born on June 21, 1921, in the Town of Saxeville, WI to the late Leonard and Ruby (Olson) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Clifford Christianson on April 11, 1942. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1976.
Norma worked as a clerk in downtown Neenah for many years. She enjoyed many hobbies, especially attending baseball games, playing cards, and dancing, as well as her many trips to Branson, Missouri and other destinations. She had many happy stories to tell of her travels.
Norma was a long time member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino, WI.
Norma is survived by her son, David (Kate) Christianson, Larsen; three grandchildren, David (Josie) Baer, Timothy (Pam) Baer, and Susan (Paul) Penzenstadler, all of Oshkosh. She is further survived by ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Wilson Barr; a great-grandson; and a nephew.
A Funeral Service for Norma will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at the Union Cemetery in the Town of Saxeville.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Norma's family extends a thank you to the staff at Olson Hall 3 for their care of Norma over the past 3 years, and to Chaplain Wayne Schwanke for all his visits, care, and concern.
