Raymond William Posselt, age 86, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh, joining his beloved wife of 56 years, soul mate, and best friend Loma Jean in Heaven. He was born November 24, 1926, on the family farm near Larsen to Walter and Hazel (Hanson) Posselt. On May 15, 1948, he married Loma Jean Laabs in Oshkosh. Ray was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester and served on the church cemetery board for many years. He also served for 26 years on the board of the Larsen Co-op. Ray was proud to be a dairy farmer on what is now the 5th generation family farm. He truly enjoyed his family and all the special occasions they celebrated. Ray touched people's lives whether they knew him for a short time or a lifetime.
Ray is survived by his nine children, Curt and Connie Posselt, Cathy and Bob Gottschalk, Judy and John Green, Joanne and Jim Steudel, Alice and Mike Peppler, Jeff and Becky Posselt, Cheryl and Jeff Ryf, Tom and Sheri Jo Posselt, and Laurie and Scott Eckstein; twenty-three grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert and Geneva Laabs, Erma and Marvin Potratz; and many other relatives and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Loma Jean on January 24, 2005; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Orville and Dorothy Laabs, Mildred and Leonard Kopitzke.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr. Larsen, Wisconsin, with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday September 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, and will continue on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Ray's family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Park View Health Center for all of the special care given to him.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Posselt Family. I truely wish I was able to make it there today to pay my respects, but and a sick little one has left me home. Ray was such a wonderful and compassionate man, and I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with him and get to you him as well as all the kids. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all today.
