Bonnie Rae (Brown) Kasten, age 71, of Winneconne, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born April 22, 1942, to the late Phillip and Janet (Malnory) Brown in Berlin, and raised and educated in Neenah. On August 6, 1960, Bonnie was united in marriage to Marvin Kasten at the United Methodist Church in Neenah. She loved a good time and being with friends and family. Bonnie enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. She loved the lake and her dog Maggie. Bonnie loved to fish and enjoyed boating, jet skiing, and snowmobiling. Indoors she was an avid NASCAR and Packer watcher or playing cards. Her real passion was sewing and doing needlepoint work for family and friends. Her collection of Santa's and Kris Kringle's made a Christmas room at their cottage.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Marvin; son, Cody Kasten, and his children, Bryce, Addie Rae, and Elliot, of Neenah; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Terri Kasten, of Neenah; and their children, Aimee (Kasten) Demmin and husband Brad, of North Carolina; and Cale Kasten, of Virginia. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Judy Brown, of Madison; and other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, with a prayer to follow at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Bonnie's family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Aurora BayCare, Green Bay, Aurora Medical Center, Oshkosh, and ManorCare Living of Appleton and their therapy group for caring, upbeat, dedicated work while caring for her.

Marv and Family, so sorry for your loss. I know you have tons of great memories and I hope you can find peace and comfort in them. We will always remember the snowmobiling rides at Tim and Sandy's cottage. Bonnie was always the life of the party.
