Randy E. Walter, age 57, of Fremont, passed away, Monday, October 19, 2009. Randy died instantly from a massive heart attack just as he was putting the final touches on one of his many complex construction projects. He was born November 9, 1951 in Mikesville, a small town north of Oshkosh, the second son of Donald, Sr. and Vivian (Johnson) Walter. Randy attended Winneconne High School. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers, working in his garden, reading, and watching and listening to sports. Randy dedicated untold hours to restoring the George Gerold Opera House in Weyauwega. Randy was always there to help his family and friends with such activities as building and carpentry work. There was no aspect of engineering that he could not solve or give his opinion on.
Randy is survived by his beloved, Anne Casey, of Fremont; his mother, Vivian Walter, of Appleton; two sons, Anthony, of Texas; Christian, of California; two grandsons, Anthony and Jaden; sisters and brothers, Sheri (Don) Jones, of Idaho; Peter (Bonita), of Larsen; Donald, Jr., of Fremont; Gene (Dawn), of Larsen; Patti (Charlie) Phillips, of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Donald, Sr.; and one brother, Paul.
A gathering to share memories of Randy's life will be held at the Winchester Town Hall, 8522 Park Way Lane, off of Cty Rd II, in the Town of Winchester, on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
