Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Dorothy Louise Kreuzer, 84, of Winneconne, passed away at home on Monday, November 11, 2013, after an extended period of ill health.
Dorothy was born in Milwaukee on October 10, 1929, to Frank and Louise Brozovich. After marrying in 1952, she lived in several locations throughout Illinois and in Hales Corners, WI before moving with her family to Winneconne in 1961. Dorothy began her working life at home providing for her family. In 1967, she was employed at the Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. She later took a position with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah, where she worked until retirement. In retirement, she enjoyed bartending for several years at The Other Place in Winneconne.
She is survived by her sister, Marlene Nieto, of Brookfield; brother-in-law, John Hoeft, of Milwaukee; her five children, Carrie DeBehnke of Milwaukee; Sandra (Dan) Johnson, of Butte des Morts; Theodore Kreuzer, of Winneconne, Lisa Wickham, of Menasha; and Christie (Terry) Kinnamon, of Naples, FL. In addition, she is survived by her niece, Jan (Neil) Kramschuster, of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Mitchell DeBehnke, of Neenah; Cody Johnson, of Appleton; Anne (Chad) Redmann, of Neenah; Marci (Benjamin) Messerschmidt, of Winneconne; Marisa Kreuzer, of Coconut Creek, FL; Madalyn Wickham, of Charlotte, NC; and Molly Wickham, of Milwaukee; nine great-grandchildren; and many friends and acquaintances among whom she was highly regarded. Grandma DoDo was one-of-a-kind and the lead character in stories we'll be telling for years to come. She will be sorely missed by us all.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved sister, Audrey Hoeft; brother-in-law, Richard Nieto; aunts and uncles. Dorothy is also enjoying a reunion on the other side with some of her dearest friends.
Visitation with the family and a brief service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield WI with entombment immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a charity Dorothy lovingly supported for many years.
If you so desire, please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.
