Joan, I just saw this while looking for another obit. It looks like both of our mothers lived long, eventful lives. I'm sure yours was just as sweet as you, and hope that memories of her will give you great comfort. My heart goes out to you with fond memories of our school days together.

Mrs. Millard became an important part of our family during the 45 years of our relationship. We all thought the world of her and admired her strong character, amazing work ethic and wonderful understated personality. My Father frequently commented on not only the quality of her work but on her intellegence. After my Dad retired they would sometimes have lunch together and talk about the business of farming. He was impressed by her business insights. My Mother has lost a dear friend. The relationship they shared is really what life is all about. I'm a lousy housekeeper and never will be any good at cleaning and laundry. I just can't compete with Millie.....she was amazing in every way. Affectionately, Fred Fieweger
