Linton R. Erickson, age 68, of Fond du Lac, died Friday December 13, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services in Fond du Lac. He was born December 24, 1944, in Neenah to Raymond and Mary (Phillips) Erickson. Linny was a graduate of Winneconne High School and Fox Valley Technical College. He served his country in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. On August 23, 1996, Lin married Gloria "Jean" Doemel. He had worked for Ryder Trucking and Quad Graphics. Lin was an avid NASCAR fan.
Linny is survived by his wife, Gloria "Jean" Erickson, of Fond du Lac; one son, Paul Erickson, and his son Marcus, of Florida; his mother , Mary Parry, of Larsen; a sister, Judy Reinert, of Larsen; nieces, Wendy (John) Wissler, Cindy (John) West; eight step-children, Antoinette, William, Brian, David, Dan, Bruce, Scott, and Mindy; many step-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Lin in death was his father, Raymond Erickson; a son, Charles; brother-in-law, John Reinert; a nephew, Brian Reinert; and his step-father, Art Parry.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr. Larsen. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Military honors will follow and burial will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
