Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Myra E. Schonscheck, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 9, 2014, at Century Oaks in Oshkosh. She was born June 10, 1921, in Tustin, the sixth of ten children to the late John and Lydia (Yesse) Lind. On September 23, 1942, Myra married Arnold Schonscheck at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi and they lived and farmed their entire married life in the Town of Rushford. Myra's true passion in life was her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and embroidery. Myra also enjoyed hunting and fishing with Arnold and their grandchildren, taking many trips out west and to Canada. She was a member of the Borth United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher.
Myra is survived by three daughters, Carol Larsen, of the Town of Oshkosh; Irene (Jerry) Martin, of the Town of Black Wolf; Joan (Mike) Will, of Winneconne; five grandchildren; Steven (Melody) Larsen, Tiffany (Rick Weidner) Martin, Chris Martin (fiancée, Kim), Ezra (Jen) Will, Abe Will (fiancée, Becky); five great-grandchildren, Kevin Larsen, RayAnn, Toby, Evan, and Lily Martin; two sisters, Caroline Schultz, Lida (Norman) Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Myra was also preceded in death by her husband Arnold on March 1, 2008; a son-in-law, Joel Larsen; and seven brothers and sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, March 14, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Borth United Methodist Church, W304 Cty Rd D Berlin. A funeral service will be held on Friday at the church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George Groves officiating. Burial will be in the Borth Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Myra's family wishes to thank the staff at Century Oaks, and the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice for all of their loving care given to her.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of Myra. I remember her fondly and how she was so much like my own grandma Agnus. She is someone that will be deeply missed by all those she touched.
