Dan met the love of his life, Carol (Viaene), marrying September 14, 1965, at St John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. Together they raised two daughters, Karen and Kelly. Dan enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, spending time with family, traveling in their RV, pheasant hunting trips, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger football, and sunsets on Lake Poygan.

Dan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol; daughters: Karen (Bruce) Dietzen, Kelly (Gary) Coenen; grandchildren: Kyle (Alison), Ellie (Jeff Bias), Anna (Seth Joppe) and Jon (Laura Wintheiser) Dietzen; Tyler (Katie Okamoto), Ben and Charlie (Anna Roehl) Coenen; great-grandchildren: Zoelle, Zetta, and Zaida Bias, Zackary and Evelyn Joppe; a sister: Mary Pat Revoir; sister-in-law: Pat Philipsen; many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dan in death were his parents, William and Frances; brothers, Bill, Bob and wife Carmina, and Dick Philipsen; and brother-in-law, Roland “Fritz” Revoir.

A visitation will be on Sunday, DECEMBER 19, 2021, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at St Mary Catholic Church 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with a funeral service being held at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to the Fin ‘n Feather immediately following the funeral service. Dan was a wonderful guy that we have been privileged to know for over 40 years. We have been honored to have Dan and Carol as God-Parents for our youngest son, Eric Daniel! We will never forget you, Dan. We will all strive to be a "gentle giant" as you were as we continue with our lives, spreading love and kindness to others. God Bless you Dan. Peace to Carol and all his family! We will miss you!
