Linda Carol Jacobchick, age 70, passed peacefully with her three children at her side on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Century Oaks Assisted Living in Appleton, WI. With great strength, resilience, and grace, Linda rallied against her dementia diagnosis refusing to let it take the best of her; she continued to touch the hearts of many who cared for her up until her final days.

Linda was born on October 18, 1951, to Margaret "Peggy" C. and Herbert G. Ritter, Sr in Waukesha, WI. After high school, Linda graduated from the State College of Beauty Culture of Milwaukee working as a licensed beautician for over 30 years.

She married Kenneth M. Jacobchick in 1977 and together they moved from the Milwaukee area to the Fox Valley to raise a family. They settled in Winchester, WI where Linda would live for 29 years. In the early 80s, Linda became the owner of Country Classics Hair Shop, a salon she operated in the basement of their family home in Winchester. Throughout her years in business, she established a loyal clientele base who were treated like family.

Linda had a smile that could light up a room. She was a beautiful, classy lady with a heart of gold. She touched many hearts with her kindness and generosity. She was a selfless person often making personal sacrifices to bring comfort to those in need from delivering hot, home-cooked meals to chauffeuring elderly friends to appointments. She was a true caretaker.

She was also a rockstar in the kitchen. Linda comforted family and friends with the food she prepared. Her children were especially spoiled while growing up having home-cooked meals enjoyed as a family around the dining table almost every night. She made a mean steak on the grill, the most savory soups, and so much more. Cooking was just one way she shared her love.

Besides cooking, Linda found great pleasure in her flower gardens. Her backyard could be described as a sanctuary hosting many parties and “Happy Hours” in the late spring and summer months. Linda's home was a home-to-all, a gathering place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Her down-to-earth personality helped establish many devoted friendships over the years and made Linda easy to love. She will be remembered as a loyal, caring friend.

Linda was also an animal lover. While her children were still young, she enjoyed horseback riding with her friends. Throughout her life, she loved and cared for two Gordon Setters and two Golden Retriever grand-dogs. Other passions included a love for music, singing, and dancing. She serenaded her caretakers and children with her original songs up until her very last days on this Earth.

Linda was very open about her greatest accomplishment in life - raising her three children. As a mother, her devotion to her children's health and happiness was relentless. She made every birthday and holiday special keeping family traditions alive and creating a lifetime of memories. Her children will remember her as a strong, resilient, and independent woman who loved unconditionally. Her legacy will live on through her children.

Linda is survived by her three children, Karley Jo Jacobchick of Winneconne, Kelly Lynn (Aaron) Laedtke of Fremont, and Matthew Corey (Kelsey) Jacobchick of Windsor, CO.; grandchildren, Charley James Malczewski (Karley) and Carter Lynn Jacobchick (Matthew and Kelsey).

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathleen A. Ritter; brother, Herbert "Tex" G. Ritter, III; and sister-in-law, Helen L. Ritter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fin & Feather 22 W. Main St. Winneconne on Saturday, February 12, 2022, starting at 3:00 p.m. Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/wi<http://www.alz.org/wi>.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the care teams at American Grand in Neenah, Edenbrook Memory Care in Appleton, and Century Oaks in Appleton; and a special thanks to Community Care as well as the nurses, chaplain, and other staff members of Heartland Hospice who cared for Mom with love and dignity.

Although the disease made it more and more difficult for Linda to communicate verbally over the years, words like “Come on!” “Not!” and “You little shit!” were rarely lost on her. Nor were the words, “I love you.” And so, the disease did not take the best of her - a whole lotta love and a little bit of sass!

A message from Linda's children:

Goodbye for now. See you in our dreams.
Watch over Charley James and Carter Lynn.
Forever in our hearts. We love you, Mom.
