Mary E. Parry, age 94, of Larsen, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha. She was born August 4, 1919, in the town of Weston, Clark County, Wisconsin to the late Leavitt and Stella (Leanna) Phillips. As a teenager Mary had worked a summer job for U.S. Senator Norris from Nebraska, who had a home on the Chain O Lakes near Waupaca. On September 25, 1937, she married Raymond Erickson and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1968. Mary worked for the Yellow Jacket Supper Club, the Red Owl in Winchester, and worked seasonally making Christmas wreaths for the Cox family in Winchester. On June 21, 1969, Mary married Art Parry and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1992. She was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church, Winchester, and was active in its Ladies Aid and Quilting Circle. Mary enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and playing cards.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Judy Reinert, of Larsen; a daughter-in-law, Jean Erickson, of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Wendy (John) Wissler, of South Carolina; Cindy (John) West, of Menasha; Paul Erickson, of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Schultz, Jacob (Liz) Schultz, Kama Caldwell, Marcus Erickson; four step-great-granddaughters, Michelle West, Stefanie (Steve) Jankowski, Wendelyn West, Heather (Brad) Paplham; six great-great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; her lifelong friend, Lois Naylor, of Waupaca; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents and two husbands, Mary was also preceded in death by her son, Linton Erickson; two grandsons, Bryan Reinert and Charles Erickson; a son-in-law, John Reinert; and five brothers; and three sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, June 2, 2014, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr. Larsen. A funeral service will be held on Monday at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Luett officiating. Burial will follow in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
