Richard "Dick" "Bucko" Lee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Care Partners in Winneconne. He was born September 11, 1938, the son of the late Leland and Marion (Craig) Lee.
Dick was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, all Major League Baseball, NFL football, as well as youth and high school sports, and a good sheepshead game.
He took pride as manager of the Poygan Irish Baseball team, leading them to several championships, and he also coached Little League Baseball and the Winneconne Legion Baseball team for many years, and spent countless years teaching kids how to play baseball. Dick refereed basketball at the high school level and many area recreational leagues, never missing a call. He also umpired baseball at the high school and youth league levels.
Dick lived on the family farm in Poygan, enjoying the country life and family. His memories took him back to the one room White School, graduating from Omro High School, and working at Morgan's/Jeld-Wen and the friends he made there. Dick never passed up a good home cooked meal, popcorn and a root beer, a good burger, or a plate of Jorgie's fish. Christmas time was very special to him, he was the family Santa, and loved buying special gifts for all. Dick was very proud of Irish heritage.
Surviving Dick are two sisters, Janet O'Keefe, Dianne Kallas; three brothers, Bob (Kathy), Don (Joni), Gary (Sue); an aunt, Eleanor Craig; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Along with his parents, Dick was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 28, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Inurnment will be on Tuesday, July 29 in St. Thomas Cemetery, Poygan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. God bless all.
Dick's family would like to thank the staffs of Care Partners, Winneconne, Omro Care Center, and Heartland Hospice for the very special care he received. Many thanks also to St. Marys, Winneconne for always keeping him in prayer and for the special cards and flowers he received, and to his friend Darlene for all of her visits.
If you wish, please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.

You have our deepest sympathy. Roger was Dick's foreman at Morgan Door. Debbie worked along side of Dick many times and sat with him at lunch also. He was a great friend and co-worker and we had many good times together. After Dick and Debbie left Morgans we kept in touch with each other, but I thought of him often and wasn't sure how to re-connect with him. So Sorry.

To Janet & family, Dick was not able to have much conversation with us at Care Partners, but we saw the light in his eyes when we talked with him & knew he had a long history in the area. The fine article in the paper confirmed this & we appreciated the background. Peace & comfort to you all.

Deepest sympathy to the Lee family. Dick was a long time basketball official for the Oshkosh Recreation Department and it was a sincere pleasure to have him on our staff. He always had a great story to share with everyone.

Condolences to the Lee family on the passing of their brother Dick. Although it's been over 40 years, I still have vivid memories of the great time I had playing ball with Bucko and his brothers for the Poygan Irish. My memories of his love for sports and memories of what a great guy he was will always be there.

Bucko was always a great guy and it was an honor to have known him. We shared some fun days with the Poygan Irish and many laughs in those days. My sympathy to the Lee family. May the memories of the good times through the years soften the heartache of your loss.
