Arleen R. Groth
Neenah, WI

Arleen R. Groth, 64, left her earthly home to be with her All Loving Savior on November 3, 2009, after patiently battling ALS. She was born on December 26, 1944, to Philip and Mildred Fiebiger in Sleepy Eye, MN. She became a child of God through baptism on February 4, 1945, and she was confirmed in her faith on May 18, 1958, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. On July 12, 1982, Arleen married Jim Groth at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Neenah and became the mother of three children.
Arleen was a faithful wife, a loving mom and grandma, and a wonderful sister. She joyfully served her Lord as a teacher at Bethlehem, Menomonee Falls; Trinity, Brillion; Trinity, Neenah; St. Paul's, Appleton; St. Paul's, Winneconne; Martin Luther, Oshkosh and Eternal Love, Appleton. Arleen enjoyed camping with her family, catching big fish, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Arleen is survived by her husband, Jim; and her children, David, of Milwaukee; Wendy (Ken) Bixby, of Appleton; Aron (Jenny), of Winneconne; her sister, Sharon (Dan) Kemnitz, of Eldorado; her grandchildren, Jonah and Molly Bixby; Cody and Cailyn Groth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark (Joan) Aronson, of Greenville; Donald (Robin) Groth, of New Berlin, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arleen was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Mildred; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Henry and Lora Groth; her sister, Dianne Aronson; an infant nephew, John Philip; and her sister-in-law, Carol Wegner.
The Christian Funeral for Arleen will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Douglas Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, November 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Arleen's desire was to be with her Lord, and we rejoice that she is now in her Savior's arms. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Jesus.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.

Groth Family, We are so sad to lose Mrs. Groth. As a neighbor and friend for the past 5-1/2 years, she will be missed by our family. She was such a wonderful person that I am so glad I got the priveldge to know (Mr Groth, too) via the Braun Family. As a couple, they have shown "true-love" during both good times and bad. Always a smile and friendly face. SHE WAS VERY SPECIAL!!! So much love for life until the very end. I just saw her scooter by the house on Sunday. I am to happy to know she was ready to meet our Savior. I believe that the Lord's arms were open and ready for her to enjoy eternity with Him and so many other loved ones. Our hearts hurt for your family. Even though she was ready, I am sure you were/are not. Please feel all of the prayers and support from so many people who care. Kolleen
