Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Bonny Borchert, age 83, of Larsen, died Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. She was born May 27, 1931, in the town of Clayton to the late Henry and Laura (Sauby) Olson. Bonny was a 1949 graduate of Winneconne High School. On April 7, 1951, she married Carl "Sonny" Borchert at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Clayton. During her lifetime Bonny had worked at the Neenah Foundry, as a switchboard operator at Theda Clark, with Sonny owning and operating Borchert Arctic Cat Sales, and as an in-home care provider. She was an excellent cook and baker, a major Packer fan, and enjoyed painting. The highlight of any day for Bonny was visits from family and friends, especially her grandkids, and no one ever left hungry. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neenah.
Bonny is survived by her three children, Jack (Betsy) Borchert, Amy (Giles) Stark, David (Sally) Borchert; eight grandchildren, Jeff Borchert, Joe (Katie) Borchert, Jake (Kristy) Borchert, Heidi Stark (special friend, Ryan), Molly Stark, John Stark; Rachael Borchert, and Maddie Borchert; four great-grandchildren, Kenadie, Keira, Rylie, and Brielle; one brother , Reuben "Chub" (Lois) Olson; two sisters, Shirley Jacob and Lou Seelow; a very dear friend, Kay Peterson; and many other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Bonny was also preceded in death by her husband, Sonny, on November 1, 2008; and brothers and sisters, Orrin, Donald, Bayward, Leo, Gene, Ruth, Doris, Mae, Beatrice, Margie, and Ginny.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3703 Fairview Rd. Neenah. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Meier officiating. Inurnment will be in the Clayton Cemetery.
