Sandra "Sandy" J. Monroe, age 67, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born April 18, 1947, in Berlin to the late John and Marjorie (Peck) Klepp. On December 18, 1961, Sandy married James Monroe. She enjoyed cooking, baking, trips to the casino, and spending time with her grandkids.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Monroe; two sons, Martin Monroe, Russ (LuAnn) Monroe; five grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Cody, Masie, and Zada; three sisters, Wendy Klepp, Jackie (Greg) Stieg, Lisa (Todd) St. John; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ed Simmons, Richard (Rosie) Monroe, Bill Monroe, Florence Delfosse, Virginia (Jim) Rose; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her favorite four-legged friend, Buster.
Along with her parents, Sandy was also preceded in death by one sister, Gail Simmons; one brother, Michael Klepp; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Daniel (Janet) Monroe, Frank (Pauline) Monroe, Margaret (Art) Lowther, Rosalie Hobbs, and Darryl Monroe.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, November 21, 2014, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Burdick Cemetery, town of Rushford.

I can still hear Sandy's laughter fill the dining room while taking on the boys in cards. She played like one of them and they all loved it! I could never make chocolate chip cookies as good as Sandy, said Rob. Lol! What a compliment for her! Our hearts go out to Jim, Russ, Marty and all her family!
